We recently said farewell to a true Krisma icon. While losing a cherished companion is always painful, the departure of a soul as extraordinary as Xavier is profoundly difficult. His memory will always be  etched in our hearts.  We find it nearly impossible to articulate his impact on our lives, yet we hope his legacy inspired others to embrace this breed with the same fervor that captured us 25 years ago.

My journey began with his grandmother, Revlin.  I went in search of a show dog without any idea of what i was getting into.  Revlin was the ideal Kerry girl to teach me about all things Kerry Blue.  Little did I know that one cute puppy would lead to such a storied history. For 16 wonderful years, she brought daily happiness to our home.

Following her was Xavier’s mother, Liviah; she possessed all the spirit and charisma one expects from a premier Kerry girl, providing me with an unparalleled education in the terrier world. Liviah is still the breed's top producing dam of Championship offspring to date. 

 Xavier truly achieved great awards all owner-handled.  I am eternally thankful for every moment spent at the other end of his lead during our many adventures.  From his early Sweepstakes and Futurity victories to becoming a Multiple Best in Show winner, taking BOB at Westminster twice, and securing 12 Specialty titles, he was widely revered.

The best of of Xavier lives on in his kids and grandkids.  We celebrate each one of them.
